In the era of touch displays visually presented content require intuitive interfaces for ultimate user experience.
User experience is about delightful time using a service or product. Difference between a positive or negative experience can be defined as the difference between visit to a hair saloon or dentist. User interface is about accomplising a goal of a task in simplified manner. This is like math class and creative arts class. Both have their supporters. However on day to day tasks people prefer experiences that do not require constant focus. Experience is like going with positive mind flow.
These two should not be mixed. After all it is all about experience. Apple Inc. does well in this space. Their experience processes are well thought. iPhone is a prime example of such product. However, there is always room for enhancement.
User created content with structured search is the hot topic for 2010. Mobility is an essentialpiece of the offering. Global brands in mobile social space see double-digit rise in mobile use from 2009 to 2010.
I designed the new version of Liidit.fi - a local business network for Finland. It remains to be seen how users react to the new service.
Liidit.com - New kind of business network was done from clean slate. Users can update their commercial profile and find others for commercial interaction. Not just dummy connections, but real-time business value through individuals.
Infographic is a visual presentation of data, knowledge or information. It is intuitive way to understand content relations instantly.
